During the production of DIABLO IV, I had the incredible opportunity to engage in extensive typographical and symbolic work, involving the creation of sets of glyphs for the Regions in Sanctuary, the geographic set for the DIABLO universe. This project originated from my personal passion for font creation and drive to enrich the world of DIABLO, infusing it with cultural depth and realism. My main objective was to enhance the distinct cultural qualities of each region or zone through creative font design.
Each set of glyphs I crafted is truly one-of-a-kind, deviating from the conventional approach of merely replacing letters in the Graco-Latin alphabets. Instead, I delved into the realm of imagination and artistic expression, generating visually attractive graphics intricately tied to the unique cultural backgrounds of each zone in Sanctuary.
In the end, I am proud to have contributed to DIABLO IV's artistic vision, and I hope players will find visual delight in the intricate details and evocative stories woven into each unique set of glyphs, enhancing their connection to the game and the world where it stands.
